Taplow Denmark and Germany recently attended a Robotics Technology Fair in Copenhagen, Denmark. This joint initiative was developed to enable both firms to expand into this growing market. Prior to the fair, Taplow DK sent Emails to the persons concerned attending asking for an appointment for a meeting at their fair-stands.
Not surprisingly only one answered positively. Nevertheless they approached all the firms on the list asking on-site for the person whom they sent a mail.
We would certainly strongly recommend similar actions with more than 1 country partner to prove international competence. I think this is the best way of promotion.
Helmut Böhler, Taplow Germany said:
1. The majority of the firms selling devices for industry automation are privately owned MEs
2. Every firm is desperately looking for new people (Engineers and Sales)
3. The industry is booming thanks to the ongoing digitalization of the production processes. Many firms reporting 25% plus in revenues 2014->2015
4. Our conversation partners were very much impressed by our approach”.
Finn Aagaard, Taplow Denmark added:
“Our goal was at least to get 6 hot prospects out of the days. we have got positive dialog with the CEO or, if they were not present, the manager for the booth! – Incl. a business card, and with oral interest in a further dialog after the fair.
